Children love machines! The Machines and Me series of four simple, well written stories has a bold, clean illustration style perfect for the target age group, by the award-winning author/illustrator Catherine Foreman.
Catherine Foreman completed a Bachelor of Graphic Design majoring in illustration at AUT in 2002, but it wasn't until many years and a couple of her own children later that images and ideas began to materialise into stories that were complete enough to submit to a publisher. The Cat's Pyjamas (2011) was Catherine's first book, which won the coveted Children's Choice Award at the 2012 NZ Post Children's Book Awards. She has since illustrated Chris Gurney's Madison Moon and the hot-air balloon (2012). To find out more about Catherine, visit her website: http://www.catherineforeman.co.nz/
